Hi, my name is Joseph Espinoza
Pictures of N gauge module building below.
Recently a few of us got together at Mr. Steve Studer's home in sunny El Cajon, California to commence the construction on the 2 club owned return waffle modules, we were onsite and started making sawdust before 09:00, most of the AM hours were spent cutting out the wood pieces to put together these modules, after a Nice lunch we got down to business and the construction began on the "south" module, though we did encounter some minor obstacles; they were successfully overcome by putting our thoughts and ideas together - Working as a team really played off.
I am happy to report that by the end of our work day the south module was about 90% complete, Steve S. was going to finish cutting out the waffle pattern and by then we should be able to install the top, putting together a module with the waffle technique is bit more time consuming, but the overall result is rewarding, cmon guys try picking up a 6' X 4' module made out of quality cabinet grade wood or even good old pine wood on your own, it's possible, but you know its heavy; this waffle 6' X 4' module I believe weighs less than a quality wood 30" X 48" HO module. I've attached some pictures that I took this past Saturday, we had a good time!!!
I would like to thank a few guys that have contributed to this work N progress.
Mr. Gary Robinson, Gary has been the brain and muscle behind this Poway Station N Scale project from day one, he designed the 2 N Scale return modules, and if incase you didn't know these two modules are designed to interface with the NTrak, Bend Track, and OneTrak standards, you know this makes you want to get N to it!?!?!? Thank you Gary!
Mr. Ron Walker, this guy is not even into N Scale that I know of, who knows he's probably ordering some N Scale equipment as I type this! Ron has been a big part of this N Scale piece and definitely a big help, thank you Ron!
Mr. Steve Studer, Steve was nice enough to let us cut all the wood for these 2 return modules in his garage/woodshop, not to mention he was hugely involved in putting the South module together, thank you Steve and thank you Mrs. Studer for hooking up our lunch!
