Frame work for the mountain area.

Chicken wire being stapled on to frame.

Test fit for tunnel portals.

Getting ready to get plastered! ;o)

Ya gotta love the smell of plaster in the morning!

Working on scenery is probably the most fun for me.

Paper towels are in place, so let the plastering begin! At this point my wife usually runs and hides as plaster goes everywhere.

Is it dry yet?

First layer almost done.

Putting tunnels in their place.

Applying rock mold I made from real rocks.

In the 70's & 80's I went up to Yosemite and made rubber molds of some cool looking rocks. Those molds are still good today believe it or not.

More rocks!

Tunnel portals being set in place.

This one will look cool here ...

Phew, one mountain done.

A good afternoons work complete.

Putting in the rock molds on the curve at Merced Falls.

Added some some work retaining walls on the outside of the curve. (also a mold I made)

Protecting the backdrop from plaster splatter.

Oh yeah .... I splatter a lot, the plaster that is.

Tunnel and mountain area carved and molded at Emory. The retaining wall and the indentation above it will support the Emory mining and quarry works.

Clean up time.
