Time to add some scenery!

Plastering and scenery are probably my two most favorite things to do on a model railroad. I like to wire, paint too, but we all have those favorites and those are mine. I get in a hurry some times because I hate to see bare wood or empty spaces. I will put down some temporary scenery or a plastic cheapy building as a place holder of sorts until down the road I can construct a wood or other scratch built item.

Oh, did I mention I like that part too, scratch building models. ;o)

For example, I want to have a large double span Warren Truss bridge over the Moss Canyon area but it will take time to build it so I built a temporary stone viaduct for the trains to use. Once the bridges are compelted, I'll tear out the viaduct and replace it. I do the same for buildings.

This way when crews come over to run, they aren't looking at vast areas of wilderness.

Moss Canyon area had the cement plant and lumber company in it.

Presto, trees grew over night. Well not that fast. I wish. They are hand made and do take some time to make. More will be added.
